Veronik Larcher, painter
Born in Strasbourg, France, Veronik Larcher completed her studies, including private classes and workshops in drawing and live model, at the Decorative Arts institute in Strasbourg and the Lycée Fusel de Coulanges, France where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in arts plastiques and literature in 1979. She continued her studies at the School of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria before moving to Montréal in 1981. Here she pursued courses with artist Seymour Segal at the University of Québec and at the Saidye Bronfman Centre School of Fine Arts.
Larcher’s work in pencil, oil, charcoal and oil pastel seeks to represent the search for her own graphic writing, or tracing, in essence the signature of her own personal imprint.
